A change of heart

Embracing Love Through a Change of Heart

A Universe Abundant in Love

Something wonderful has occurred recently. I’ve had a change of heart, and consequently, my life has become increasingly filled with love. Readers happily responded to my prior article, calling it a “love letter,” a “love article,” and a “love fest.” In it, I shared my gratitude for everyone who helped make the Wellness Expo a success and for all those who have supported my holistic healing path.

Since then, Kim and I have received a wave of emails and Facebook messages expressing thanks for our efforts and sharing their love with us. We’ve encountered many amazing individuals whose hearts are brimming with love – love for life, for themselves, and for us. In a time when the media often focuses on negativity, it’s easy to overlook that most people in the world are fundamentally good.

A Change of Heart & A New Mindset

What has caused my world to flourish with so much love? After some deep reflection, I arrived at a straightforward answer: I’ve had a change of heart. When people say that I’ve altered my thinking and call it “out there,” I place my right hand over my heart and reply, “No, I am not out there; I am in here, and it feels wonderful!”

As a Reiki practitioner, I often get asked which energy healing method is superior. While both have their unique benefits and resonate differently with different individuals, I find immense satisfaction in Reiki.

During healing sessions, I draw energy from Mother Earth, the Divine, and my environment. This energy flows into my heart chakra before being transferred to the patient. At first, I was reluctant to accept this, but since I embraced it, I’ve noticed a remarkable change in my life, which is now filled with more love.

Shifting Perspective

We’ve all heard the saying, “Change your attitude, change your life.” I urge you to build on that idea. Filtering everything through your heart before you react can lead to significant changes.

  • Don’t just modify your attitude; transform your perspective.
  • Don’t just look with your eyes; feel with your heart.
  • Avoid making judgments first and asking questions later; instead, forgive first and listen carefully to the answers you get.

Leading with your heart may feel intimidating, but the benefits will soon ease your worries.

Connecting with Others

We all face times in our lives when frustration and negativity can take over. Whether it’s a stressful situation at work, a misunderstanding with a friend, or just the burden of daily tasks, it can be easy to overlook the good around us. By choosing to act with love and compassion, you bring a transformative energy into your interactions.

Picture a day where, instead of reacting with irritation, you decide to meet each challenge with understanding. This change not only lightens your own burden but also encourages those around you to respond positively. A change of heart can bring you greater inner peace.

Taking Action in Daily Life

You don’t need to be a healer to create this change. Simple acts of kindness like smiling at a stranger, showing gratitude to a colleague, or offering a listening ear to someone in need can help foster a more loving environment. These small actions remind us of our connection, and they can trigger a ripple effect of positivity. When you open your heart, you inspire others to do the same, building a community based on love and understanding.

What I have found, as many others have, is that most individuals are trying their hardest. If they could improve, they would. Outside factors may limit their attempts. Recognize this before feeling upset with a loved one, a colleague, or even someone you don’t know. Let your initial reaction to everyday situations come from the heart, and be ready for others to respond similarly. Observe how your life changes in incredible ways when you allow this small shift in perspective to lead to a change of heart.
