You are a good person!

You Are a Good Person

Have you ever taken a moment to think about how remarkable your life really is? Life is the most precious gift we have. How often do we hear the saying, “If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything”? As philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche stated, “He who has a why to live can endure almost any how.” Sadly, many of us overlook these messages as simple sayings while we concentrate on establishing our place in the world. We often believe that once we reach success, we will have time for deeper contemplation. But what does success truly mean?

Defining Success

A hundred people might provide a hundred different definitions. Many define success only in terms of financial or material wealth, neglecting the essential “human element” in the unending chase for more. This leads me to share a worrying trend I’ve noticed during my energy work sessions.

The Messages We Ignore

In these sessions, I frequently receive straightforward yet impactful messages. Towards the end, I softly tell clients, “You are a good person.” In person, this often results in a blush, downcast eyes, and a quiet, “Why would you say that?” It feels as though I’ve accused them of something terrible. In remote sessions, I get lengthy, defensive responses denying their goodness.

These reactions are concerning. Life is a miracle, whether you view it as a random occurrence or a result of a divine plan. Each of us has overcome the odds to be here. We are unique individuals and should take pride in that uniqueness.

The Magnificence of Life

We all share similarities, yet we are different in our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects. We are connected by our ability to love, even though we show it in various ways. Our presence on Earth is part of a complex web of life, reaching into the vast universe. We should celebrate simply being alive and acknowledge our inherent goodness.

A Practical Exercise

To build a positive self-image, try this exercise: Write down your good qualities next to any negative ones you think you have. You might want to ask a trusted friend or family member for help; their feedback could surprise you. In my sessions, when I sometimes combine Energy Healing with Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), clients often start by mentioning their perceived negatives. As the session goes on, they find it hard to list positives, but with support, their lists grow.

Your Unique Attributes

You might be kind, a good listener, or skilled in ways that bring happiness to yourself and others. You could be gentle or loyal. Your list of positive traits can expand endlessly, but you won’t find this depth without self-reflection and open discussions with those you care about.

Prioritize Yourself

Make yourself a priority. Write a detailed list of your positive traits, regardless of their size. Think about it regularly, every morning, before you sleep, or whenever you feel down. Read it until you genuinely believe you deserve life’s wonders, because you do, and you are a GOOD person.
