This website and blog are owned and operated by Kim Hutchinson and Steve Clayton, a husband-and-wife team offering healing sessions, intuitive readings, and spiritual guidance. We personally handle every aspect of this business, including service delivery, website management, and communication.

Analytics Tools

Main site (clayhuthealing.ca): GoatCounter is used to collect non-identifying usage data (page paths, referrers, timestamps, and aggregated event counts). IP addresses are anonymized or discarded, and no cross-site tracking or profiling is performed.

Blog (clayhuthealing.ca/wordpress/): Independent Analytics is used to collect non-identifying usage data. It is configured to avoid storing personal identifiers and does not perform cross-site tracking or profiling.

What we collect and why

Collected: page views, page paths, referrers, timestamps, and aggregated event counts to measure site usage and improve content.

Not collected/shared: names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers are not stored or shared. We do not build profiles or track users across other sites.

Legal basis

Processing is based on our legitimate interest in running and improving the website. Where applicable law requires, we will obtain consent before activating analytics on a visitor’s device.

Retention

Analytics data is retained only as long as necessary for analytics purposes and is aggregated to reduce the risk of identifying individuals.

Opt-out and controls

To opt out: enable “Do Not Track” in your browser, use an analytics-blocking extension, or follow the opt-out instructions for the relevant provider (GoatCounter or Independent Analytics).

We respect the standard Do Not Track signal and will not record analytics for visitors with DNT enabled.

We store explicit accept/reject choices in a short-lived cookie/local Storage when provided via the site consent banner.

Third Parties: We do not share analytics data with third parties, except as required by law.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when it’s needed to provide you with a service or when you voluntarily share it. This may include your name and email address; your mailing address (if the session involves a house call or a product purchase via PayPal); a photo of the person, animal, or space receiving the service; birth details, including date, time, and location, for astrology-based services; and any other information you choose to share related to a session.

We do not collect sensitive health or financial data unless you voluntarily provide it as part of your healing session.

How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used to respond to your messages and inquiries; fulfill healing and reading sessions; create personalized astrology charts and intuitive reports; and share updates or audio files related to your session. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

How We Protect Your Data

We take reasonable precautions to keep your information safe. This includes SSL encryption on our website; storing data only on our password-protected computers and external hard drives; and limiting access to just the two of us.

All emails and contact records are stored in Proton Mail, our encrypted email service. This information is backed up on our personal devices and used only to manage your sessions and correspondence.

Audio files are delivered via Proton Drive, a secure, end-to-end encrypted service. Files are available through a private link for 3 months and backed up on an encrypted hard drive. We only retain your most recent recording.

Session notes and photos are stored securely on our private devices. No one else has access. We don’t retain personal data longer than necessary. If you ever want your records deleted, email contact@clayhuthealing.ca.

Fonts and Web Resources

This website self-hosts all fonts, icons, and web resources. No external connections are made to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts, Mobirise CDNs, or FontAwesome) when you visit our site. All assets are served directly from our own hosting infrastructure.

We use a few trusted platforms to deliver services and content. These may collect anonymous usage data or set cookies according to their own privacy policies. These include:
