Finding Your Truth looks beneath cultural myths and well-meaning pressures to reclaim inner magic, offering reflections and practical prompts to begin that return. I wrote the following poem to explore the slow work of unlearning stories that hide your real self.<\/p>\n

Finding Your Truth Poem<\/h2>\n

The hardest of tasks
\nTo truly know the real you
\nBeneath all the myths<\/p>\n

What is easier
\nWalk away from history
\nOr to play the game?<\/p>\n

You are magical
\nUntil your spirit\u2019s broken
\nBy the well-meaning<\/p>\n

They disguise their fear
\nIn their made up histories
\nPlastic wrapped spirit<\/p>\n

Fear fears difference
\nThough each of us is the same
\nAnd yet we are not<\/p>\n

Distraction at work
\nBut your magic runs deeper
\nFind your faith within<\/p>\n

Adding to the All
\nWe as individuals
\nThat\u2019s our purpose<\/p>\n

Good luck unlearning
\nThat you may find your true self
\nCreation enhanced<\/p>\n

Finding Your Truth Reflection<\/h2>\n

Start small: identify one story that shapes a daily choice (I\u2019m not creative, I must always please, I\u2019m not enough). Journal for five minutes about where that story began and what it asks of you now. Then pick one tiny counter-action for a week e.g. say an unpracticed \u201cno,\u201d a minute of unshared silence, or a small creative risk. Track what shifts in your body, mood, or relationships.<\/p>\n

The poem points to two dangers: well-meaning others who enforce roles, and distraction that keeps you from inner work. Respond to both with boundaries and rituals. A boundary might be a single sentence you use when old narratives surface; a ritual could be a nightly two-breath check-in to ask, \u201cWhat felt true to me today?\u201d<\/p>\n

Reclaiming your magic also means community. Share one line from this poem that landed for you, or a small unlearning you\u2019re trying. Naming aloud weakens shame and invites alignment. Over time, those small acts accumulate: pieces glued back together with love, and a life that looks more like your unedited self.<\/p>\n
