Heal Yourself and Others

By Kim Hutchinson

We often are asked to compare and contrast healing modalities; truth is, all healing comes from love. If the healer and patient both genuinely desire healing to occur, then it will, because they are open to the flow of love. Healers and patients who are not in their heart, or who do not genuinely desire and/or expect healing to occur, will see mixed results, no results, or even a worsening of the medical condition. That is why your choice of healer is more important than the choice of modality. Choose someone with whom you have a good rapport and in whom you trust. If you’re performing a self-healing, then it’s important to move into your heart beforehand. Spend time with a baby, a puppy, or a dear loved one, for instance. Anything that moves you and open you up to love will also open you up to receiving healing energy.

Heal Yourself

Body Language: Everything that happens to the body starts as a thought. Persistent or significant thoughts create emotions. Emotions are designed to alert us to the presence of significant thoughts. If we ignore our emotions, they create chemical reactions in targeted areas of our body. Every area is linked to a specific thought and emotion. For example, someone in your life may be a ‘pain in the neck’ so when you think of them, your neck hurts. In order to release the neck pain, you must first retrieve the message associated with it. Ask yourself, “Is there a name connected to this pain?” Don’t second-guess yourself. Whatever information comes to you is the correct answer. Next, ask yourself if you are willing to part with the pain. If so, then you can heal. If you do not wish to relinquish your aggravation with that person, then the neck pain will persist as a reminder to you.

Genuine Intention: To heal yourself, or to be healed by another, you must first want to be healed. While this might sound like a foregone conclusion, it often is not. No one can heal you unless you truly want to be well. There is no magic cure, pill, operation, ceremony or other type of remedy to restore you to wellness. Only your sincerest intention will bring health back into your life. If you find you’re not getting better despite everyone’s best efforts, spend time alone in reflection, and ask yourself these tough questions:

Have I become overly attached to, or identified with, my condition?
Does it make me feel special?
Do I secretly enjoy the attention?
Does my health condition exempt me from work, household duties, etc.?
In what other way(s) do I benefit from this illness or infirmity?

If you’re truly honest with yourself, the answer(s) may surprise you. We humans are very adept at fooling ourselves.

Release: When I hear of people fighting a disease, my heart goes out to them. I just worry about their usage of the word ‘fight’. Anything that you resist, persists. Healing happens when you release the energy (thought, emotion, form) that is making you ill. Try this affirmation instead: “I release Cancer”, or “I enjoy perfect health because I choose to release negativity”.

Heal Others

White Light: To heal someone else, fill your spirit with brilliant white light, then envision your spirit lightbody merging with your patient and radiating light into him/her. Depending on the patient’s receptivity, results can be nothing short of miraculous. Old physical limitations are shattered as the patient reclaims and reconnects with his/her spirit. It’s as though the person is reborn into the Light. This represents not only the future of healing, but also the future of humanity for it is what we are evolving into. If the patient is ready and open to receiving all the blessings of this light, the healing comes an awakening, an ascension in consciousness, the reconnection with your lightbody, and infinitely more possibilities.

Heal the World: While you’re healing others, why not send Mother Earth a healing, too? After all, our health is directly linked to her health, and vice versa. Begin by visualizing your patient as connected to everyone on Earth, along with Mother Earth herself, then begin the healing. That way, the healing will radiate out to everyone who needs it, and to our beautiful planet too.
