It is said that angels work in mysterious ways. Today, we saw proof of this.
This morning, when Steve entered his car, the glove compartment was open. (The passenger door had inadvertently been left unlocked.) Upon inspection, he noted his first aid kit was missing along with 50 cents in change, neither of which worried him. The only other item taken was his proof of vehicle registration. This was of greater concern.
Steve went to the local police detachment to discuss the missing items and was told he would have to go to Service New Brunswick to request another registration form. This seemed like an unnecessary annoyance; that is, until Steve realized that his vehicle registration was set to expire tomorrow. Neither of us was aware of this fact because, in an effort to save money, our provincial government decided this year to stop mailing renewal reminder notices to car owners.
Had this theft not occurred, Steve would have neglected to renew his car’s registration in time. Thankfully the angels intervened and alerted Steve to this fact just 24 hours before the registration expired.
Thank you, Angels!
